About Dr. Christine Viola-Krause

I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 25 years of experience, currently licensed in both Oregon and Washington. I hold certification as a forensic evaluator in Oregon for both juvenile and adult populations. My academic background includes a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively with children and adolescents across day treatment, residential, school-based, and outpatient settings. These experiences have deepened my understanding of developmental science and the neurodevelopmental impacts of trauma—insights that are especially important in legal contexts where decisions carry profound and lasting consequences.

For almost two decades, I’ve served as a Psychologist and Training Director within a juvenile court setting in the state of Washington. This role has shaped my expertise in institutional systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and applied forensic practice. I bring this depth into every evaluation—whether court-ordered or clinically driven—with a commitment to understanding the whole individual in context. In addition to clinical and forensic work, I offer consultation in case planning, trauma-informed intervention, juvenile misuse of fire, and organizational wellness. My approach is relational, developmentally informed, and grounded in the belief that thoughtful evaluation and collaboration can drive meaningful change.

When I am not working, I am probably reading, hiking, hanging out by some water with my family, or watching soccer!
